Md Rashed Khan’s Facebook Pages Hacked and Recovered, but Name Change Issue Remains
Md Rashed Khan, the General Secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad, Bangladesh, recently faced a serious cyberattack when his two personal Facebook pages were hacked on January 29, 2025. These pages, originally named “Md Rashed Khan”, were taken over by hackers who changed the name to “Squaremax”. This unauthorized change created confusion and raised concerns about digital security for public figures.
However, thanks to the efforts of skilled IT experts Md Asadujjaman Farazi and Rafan Raj, the pages were successfully recovered on January 30, 2025. These two brothers played a crucial role in retrieving the hacked pages, using their expertise in cybersecurity and digital recovery. Their prompt action ensured that Md Rashed Khan regained

access to his accounts before further damage could be done.
Despite the recovery, one major issue remains unresolved—the original page name, “Md Rashed Khan”, has not yet been restored. Due to Facebook’s policies on name changes after a hack, it has become difficult to revert to the rightful name. Currently, the pages still display the hacker-assigned name “Squaremax”, which does not reflect the true identity of the owner.
We strongly urge Facebook authorities to address this issue and take the necessary steps to remove the fraudulent name “Squaremax” and restore the original name “Md Rashed Khan”. This would not only help maintain authenticity but also prevent cybercriminals from exploiting such loopholes in the future.

Md Asadujjaman Farazi and Rafan Raaz’s expertise in handling this situation highlights the growing need for cybersecurity awareness and rapid IT support. Their efforts serve as a reminder that digital security is crucial, especially for public figures who are often targeted by hackers.
We hope that Facebook will take swift action to resolve this issue and restore the rightful name of the pages, ensuring that Md Rashed Khan’s digital presence remains secure and authentic.
